Tires and Wheels

For better traction, the Range Rover Evoque has larger standard tires than the X2 (235/60R18 vs. 225/50R18). The Range Rover Evoque’s optional tires are larger than the largest tires available on the X2 (245/45R21 vs. 225/50R18).

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Range Rover Evoque offers optional 21-inch wheels. The X2’s largest wheels are only 20-inches.

Suspension and Handling

For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the Range Rover Evoque is 2.2 inches wider in the front and 2.5 inches wider in the rear than the average track on the X2.

For greater off-road capability the Range Rover Evoque has a 1.1 inches greater minimum ground clearance than the X2 (8.3 vs. 7.2 inches), allowing the Range Rover Evoque to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged.

Passenger Space

The Range Rover Evoque has 1 inch more front shoulder room, 1.2 inches more rear headroom and 1.5 inches more rear shoulder room than the X2.

Cargo Capacity

The Range Rover Evoque has a larger cargo volume with its rear seat folded than the X2 with its rear seat folded (50.5 vs. 50.1 cubic feet).

A low lift-over cargo hatch design makes loading and unloading the Range Rover Evoque easier. The Range Rover Evoque’s cargo hatch lift-over height is 28.7 inches, while the X2’s liftover is 30.6 inches.

The Range Rover Evoque’s cargo area is larger than the X2’s in almost every dimension:

Length to seat (2nd/1st)

The Range Rover Evoque has a 3968 lbs. towing capacity. The X2 has no towing capacity.

The Range Rover Evoque has a standard remote vehicle starting system, so the vehicle can be started from inside the driver's house. This allows the driver to comfortably warm up the engine before going out to the vehicle. The climate system will also automatically heat or cool the interior. The X2 doesn’t offer a remote starting system.

Unlike the driver-only memory system in the X2, the Range Rover Evoque offers an optional driver and passenger memory, so that when drivers switch, the memory setting adjusts the driver’s seat, steering wheel position and outside mirror angle and the front passenger seat also adjusts to the new passenger’s preset preferences.

The Range Rover Evoque’s optional easy entry system raises the steering wheel and glides the driver’s seat back when the door is unlocked or the ignition is switched off, making it easier for the driver to get in and out. The X2 doesn’t offer an easy entry system.

Heated windshield washer nozzles are optional on the Range Rover Evoque to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The X2 doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.

To improve rear visibility by keeping the rear window clear, the Range Rover Evoque has a standard rear fixed intermittent wiper with a full on position. The rear wiper standard on the X2 only has an intermittent setting, so in a hard rain visibility isn’t as good.

In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The Range Rover Evoque offers available headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The X2 doesn’t offer headlight washers.

Both the Range Rover Evoque and the X2 offer optional heated front seats. The Range Rover Evoque also offers optional heated rear seats to keep those passengers extremely comfortable in the winter. Heated rear seats aren’t available in the X2.

Optional air-conditioned seats in the Range Rover Evoque HSE keep the driver and front passenger comfortable and take the sting out of hot seats in summer. The X2 doesn’t offer air-conditioned seats.
